Legalized recreational cannabis is coming. Federal and provincial legislation will provide a framework for Saskatchewan hometowns to build their own bylaws, but it’s only helpful if you understand what’s happening and how it affects your hometown. Come and learn about the opportunities, pitfalls, and responsibilities your hometown has as we move toward cannabis legalization. The 420 Clinic will be discussing some of the common misconceptions about cannabis and the cannabis industry; Jana Linner, an associate at MLT Aikens Law Firm, will be speaking on municipal responsibilities and potential pitfalls to watch out for as employers; and SUMA's policy staff will walk attendees through FCM's new cannabis legalization guide and how it integrates with the province's cannabis framework.
All SUMA members are invited to join us at the DoubleTree Hotel in Regina from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on May 9. Registration is $65 per person.
NOTE: A separate registration is required for the Town,Village, and Northern Sector Meeting. Visit the Sector Meeting event listing for more information, and to register.
