Town of Lemberg Seeking a Town Foreman
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - TOWN FOREMAN
The Town of Lemberg is accepting applications from qualified persons to fill the full-time position of Town Foreman. The Town offers a comprehensive salary package, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and matching pension contributions.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Foreman is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of Water and Wastewater systems;
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of municipal maintenance and construction works;
- Keeping and maintaining detailed and accurate records regarding operations, expenses, and procurement;
- Exercising diligent oversite over all vehicle and machinery repairs and maintenance;
- Keep track of shop and outside inventory; and
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous self enhancement & development as necessitated by the role.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following qualifications:
- Class 1 Water Treatment, Class 1 Water Distribution, Class 1 Wastewater Treatment, Class 1 Wastewater Distribution certifications.
- Additionally possesses any of the following certifications:
- Supervisory Skills Certification
- OHS Certification
- Power Mobile Equipment Certification
- Confined Space Entry & Rescue
- Pesticide Applicator’s Course or License
- H2S Alive
- WHIMIS 2015
- CPR/First Aid C Certification
- Hazard Assessment
- Sampling Techniques & Analysis
- Filter Surveillance & Optimization
- Has a valid Class 5 driver's license with clear Drivers Abstract.
- Successfully passes a Criminal Record Check.
If a candidate does not have any of the above noted certifications they must be willing to obtain any certifications that they would require in order to properly fulfill the position of Foreman for the Municipality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED
- Valid Class 5 operator’s license
- Mechanically inclined (ability to operate and maintain town equipment)
- Paving and construction experience
- Criminal Record Check
