Nuclear Power in Canada: Now and Into the Future

Nuclear Power in Canada: Now and Into the Future

Webinar/Workshop

October 18, 2022 - 10:00 am – 11:00 am

online

As SaskPower moves toward its goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, small modular reactors (SMRs) are being more seriously considered as a viable energy source. While there are no concrete plans to build SMRs in Saskatchewan, the provincial government has announced a strategic plan outlining a path toward the use of SMRs in our province.

As a follow up to last year’s webinar with SaskPower entitled “SaskPower: The Future of Nuclear Power in Saskatchewan”, on October 18 at 10 a.m. SUMA is hosting the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) for another webinar on the same topic, “Nuclear Power in Canada: Now and Into the Future”

CNA representative John Gorman will discuss Canada’s leadership in nuclear energy, small modular reactors, and nuclear energy and its advantages for Saskatchewan.

If you can't make it to the live event, don't worry! A recording will be sent out to all registrants. If you have questions you would like answered during the session, put them in the Questions and Comments box below and we will ask them on your behalf.
