Building Co-op Housing Solutions for Saskatchewan Communities

Webinar/Workshop

December 10, 2025 - 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

online

Saskatchewan municipalities are working hard to address housing shortages, aging infrastructure and the need for stable, affordable options for residents. Co-op housing offers a practical, community-driven model that aligns with municipal goals for long-term affordability, local control and strong resident engagement.

On Wednesday December 10 at 10:00 a.m. join Candice Minott from Co-operatives First (CF) and Marla Gagnier from Cooperative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada) for the webinar Building Co-op Housing solutions for Saskatchewan Communities. The webinar will feature a conversation focused on Saskatchewan, exploring how communities can utilize the co-operative model to develop sustainable housing solutions. This webinar will explore CF and CHF Canada’s supports, Saskatchewan’s current housing landscape, and the practical steps municipalities can take to help local groups get organized, secure partnerships and move co-op housing projects forward.

Designed specifically for SUMA members, this session provides clear guidance and real examples to help you activate co-op housing opportunities in your region.
