Therefore be it resolved that SUMA lobby the Provincial and Federal governments to modify existing laws and policies to give authority to Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management to apply well defined environmental standards and directives for the clean-up and restoration of discontinued or abandoned rail lines. Note: This resolution did not appear in the earlier booklet but was accepted by the Resolutions Committee and by convention delegates as an emergent resolution.
