Exploring Enhanced Uranium Refining in Saskatchewan

Resolution
Therefore be it resolved that SUMA ask the Provincial Government to create a venue to explore the possibility of enhanced uranium refining in Saskatchewan to inform residents about future opportunities, debate the issues associated with the nuclear industry, and identify the economic, environmental and social impacts as they relate to enhanced uranium refining.
Provincial Response
Our government is committed to sustaining a green and prosperous economy. This means that while economic development is important, we must ensure that our practices are sustainable and that the environment is respected. The future of the uranium is industry will involve the views and ideas from the federal government, academics, industry, and most importantly, the people of Saskatchewan.
