Recovering the Costs of Rescue Calls for Out-of-province Vehicles

Resolution
Be it resolved that SUMA lobby the Provincial Government to enter into an agreement with the other provinces to make provisions for recouping the costs of rescue calls involving vehicles registered out of province, either through the owner’s personal driver’s licence or their insurance company; and Be it further resolved that SUMA lobby for a fund to be set up in each province similar to Saskatchewan’s Municipal Rescue Services Fund to help recover the costs of rescue calls for out-of province vehicles.
