Responding to Boughen Commission Recommendations on Financing K-12 Education

Resolution
Be it resolved that SUMA support the key recommendation of the Boughen Commission to shift a major portion of school funding from the property tax base back to a provincial government responsibility, provided that such action does not compromise a commitment to increased Revenue Sharing grants, infrastructure funding and municipal authority to access our own property tax base and alternative revenue sources.
