Implementing a Surcharge Fund for Victims of Property Crimes

Resolution
Be it resolved that SUMA ask Sask. Justice officials to lobby their federal counterparts in Ottawa to introduce the appropriate Criminal Code Amendments to enable judges to order the payment of a surcharge fee on all property offenders who are apprehended, and request that the Province of Saskatchewan implement a Justice Program for the application and distribution of these funds to citizens who have been victimized by property offenders.
