Resolutions

Be it resolved that SUMA propose to the provincial government a new redistribution model based on the same principles as the original SUMA proposal (two cost levels and a $15 per capita spread between detachment and non-detachment municipalities) that would not be contingent on any additional contribution from the Provincial Government. Note: Given current municipal costs of approximately $12.3 million annually, this resolution—if implemented—would result in a redistribution model under which detachment host communities would pay roughly $42.35 per capita per year and all non-detachment urban and rural municipalities would pay roughly $27.35 per capita per year.
