The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has created a Gas Tax Fund Calculator to show how federal funding has helped communities across Canada. The calculator is part of FCM's campaign for renewed federal funding for municipal infrastructure.
FCM is asking for everyone's help leading up to the 2013 federal budget; we encourage you to try out the Gas Tax Fund Calculator, and share the results with the elected officials for your area in all orders of government. All you have to do is type the name of your municipality, and it will show you how much the Gax Tax Fund has spent in your community, and which projects it financed.
Try out the calculator today, then tell your MLA and your MP what a difference funding has made for your community.
