As part of Canada 150 Celebrates, the Government of Canada is investing in community infrastructure. There will be $46.2 million available through Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) for the second round of the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program. These dollars will invest in projects aiming to rehabilitate existing community infrastructure in Western Canada, and priority will be given to:
- recreational facilities;
- projects that support a clean growth economy (i.e., energy efficiency upgrades); and/or
- projects that support indigenous communities and peoples.
The application window will open on Tuesday, May 24, and remain open until 3:00 p.m. (depending on our time zone) on Wednesday, June 22. Details are available in a President's Update and on the WD website.
