THE 5 Ws of SUMA Summer School!

For all mayors and councillors in our wonderful province. This is a leadership and governance workshop geared toward elected officials.

A two-and-a-half-day workshop that will provide entertaining team-building activities, exciting guest speakers, and problem solving with your peers.
Dress code is casual.
All meals are included in the registration fee except for dinner on Monday night. We have left this night open for you.

Almost everything takes place at the University of Regina campus.

Check in starts at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, and the last session will wrap up at about 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14.

SUMA is focused on providing valuable educational opportunities to our members through workshops, meetings, summits, and the annual convention. Elected officials play a vital role in Saskatchewan’s urban governments, and equipping members with the best tools and knowledge available to fulfill this role is important to us. Sharing ideas, brainstorming, and networking with peers will undoubtedly strengthen your role as an elected official. As a bonus, you will receive credit for the Municipal Roles and Responsibilities Module of the Municipal Leadership Development Program (MLDP)!

If you are looking for the true university experience, SUMA has arranged for you to stay right on campus at the University of Regina's new residence, Kisik Towers. These private dorms consist of a bed, desk, and your own washroom. This option is the most affordable at only $150 for two nights. If this is the option for you, just choose "On Campus Accommodations Required" under attendee management when you register and SUMA will do the rest!

If you would like to take a break from campus life, SUMA has reserved a block of rooms at the Travelodge Hotel Regina. Stay in comfort for the affordable rate of $100/night. If this option is more fitting for you, call the Travelodge directly at 306-586-3443 and quote the block code CGUS8 to make your reservation.
