Convention resolutions are one way SUMA members can get their issues to the forefront. As per SUMA's Resolutions Policy, resolutions can be submitted anytime during the year.
After concerns were raised by members about late resolutions and the inability for councils to discuss these resolutions in advance, only those resolutions that are absolutely critical and could not possibly have been included in the Convention package will be brought forward after the deadline, and only then with justification for why it is both urgent and emergent. Any other late resolutions will be considered by the SUMA Board after Convention.
