Has someone you know made contributions to Canada, Saskatchewan, or your community? Recognize these contributions with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal
The commemorative medal celebrates the 70th anniversary year of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's II's accession to the Throne. A total of 7,000 medals will be presented through the Platinum Jubilee year, which ends on February 5, 2023
To be eligible for a medal, the recipient must:
- be a resident of Saskatchewan or have a link to Saskatchewan (at the time of the grant of the medal);
- have made a contribution to Canada, Saskatchewan, or a particular region or community; and
- be alive on February 6, 2022, the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession to the Throne.
To distribute the medals, the Government of Saskatchewan has partnered with several organizations. SUMA, along with SARM and New North, are administering nominations for smaller municipalities. Cities received their medal allocations directly
Nomination forms can be sent to SUMA's Heather Vanderaa at execassistant@suma.org.
