Village of Perdue Seeks Public Works Foreman
These services include;
- Water Collection and Distribution,
- Wastewater and Lagoon Operations,
- Road Maintenance
- Greenspace Maintenance – Cutting Grass etc.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance
- and various other duties as assigned.
Certification/Courses (Not mandatory but an asset. Village is willing to train.)
- First Aid / CPR /WHMIS
- Confined Space Entry / Disturbed Ground Awareness
- Power Mobile Equipment Operation
Have OR is willing to work toward Operator Certification with municipal systems including;
-Class 1 Water Distribution,
-Class 1 Wastewater Treatment
-Wastewater Collection
Qualifications
The successful applicant must possess
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Provide a current criminal record check.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
- Skilled at equipment operations and excellent trouble shooting abilities
- Ability to prioritize a demanding work environment and work independently
- Ability to respond to public requests in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
- Analytical problem-solving, organizational skills and communication skills
- Ability to work with Council, Administration and summer students
- Strong community minded individual and trustworthy, approachable and flexible
- Willing to relocate
Typical work schedule is Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Expect periodically being required to work outside of regular hours pending snow removal, water/sewer responsibilities, etc., as necessary. Competitive salary and excellent benefit package offered.
