The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is beginning the process to identify a site for Canada’s second deep geological repository (DGR) for the safe, long-term storage of intermediate- and high-level nuclear waste.

Over the next two years, we’ll be engaging with Indigenous communities, municipalities, industry and other stakeholders to shape the site selection process.
