Opposing Federal Downloading of RCMP Costs

Resolution
Therefore Be It Resolved that SUMA advise the Solicitor General of Canada and the Commissioner of the RCMP that the Association is strongly opposed to any move by Public Works Canada to charge back Payments in Lieu of Taxes on federally owned RCMP properties to the RCMP Service Agreements; and Further Be It Resolved that SUMA is also strongly opposed to any further action by the Government of Canada to download policing costs to municipalities by renegotiating or making administrative changes to the RCMP Service Agreements.
