The first-ever Municipal Infrastructure Conference in Saskatchewan was hosted by the City of Humboldt last month. The conference focussed specifically on infrastructure in smaller municipalities across the province.
Atendees had the chance to learn, network, and come up with some of their own solutions to problems faced in growing communities. Minister of Government Relations, Jim Reiter, was the keynot speaker, and brought a message of the importance of working together.
"Co-operation and collaboration of both provincial and municipal (government) levels will be critical in sustaining and responding to our growing infrastructure needs," he said. "Some of our greatest success as a province has come from inter-municipal co-operation."
