Creating a More Basic Level of Water and Wastewater Certification

Resolution
Be it resolved that Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management and the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) be asked to make the following changes in the training and certification process to make it more suitable for operators in towns and villages which do not have complex systems: a) Create or adopt more basic training manuals appropriate for each type of existing water and wastewater plant; and b) Develop exams more appropriate to these more basic training levels, and permit them to be written using either imperial or metric measurement systems.
