Funding for Crisis Centres

Resolution
Therefore be it resolved that the SUMA lobby the Ministry of Health to assist with funding crisis centres and their programs.
Provincial Response
The Ministry of Social Services funds the cries centers in Saskatchewan. The Ministry of Health does fund the Saskatchewan HealthLine online, which provides a specialized mental health and addictions line for persons seeking information and in crisis. Funding of local health programs are the responsibility of regional health authorizes. As such, the regional health authorities are in the best position to address requests for supplementary funding to crisis centers.
