Allowing a special tax to fund local health care levies in all municipalities

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Section 275 of The Cities Act be amended to permit Health Care Levies to be imposed by means of a Special Tax and to provide municipalities with the same flexibility and discretion in the imposition of a Special Tax pursuant to section 275 of The Cities Act as is provided to a municipality in imposing a Base Tax pursuant to section 259.
