Compensation for first responders

Resolution
Whereas the communities require the services of volunteers to act as first responders; and Whereas there is currently no payment from Saskatchewan Health Services for this service; Therefore be it resolved that the SUMA lobby the Government of Saskatchewan to implement a payment to volunteer first responders (not volunteer firefighters) to help cover their out-of-pocket expenses while performing their duties.
