Therefore be it resolved that the SUMA lobby the Government of Saskatchewan to cost share all upgrades for power expansion in regional parks.

It was also resolved that the Government of Saskatchewan cost share all upgrades for electrical power in regional parks. The Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association (SPRA) has been a strong advocate for our regional parks and their need for financial support. That is why this government has made a commitment to provide a total of $2.4 million over four years, on a cost shared basis, for capital projects such as this. Funds are provided through and dispersed from the SPRA to qualifying regional parks, that are determined by applying criteria developed by a committee of peers. Regional parks wishing for capital funding should contact the SPRA in Saskatoon.
