Therefore be it resolved that the SUMA request the Board of Examiners to lower the minimum requirement of the mentor/supervisor of the Urban Standard from 5 years to 3 years.
Provincial Response
At the last meeting of the Board of Examiners on March 30, 2011 your letter regarding the SUMA Convention resolution for lowering the minimum requirement for the Mentor/Supervisor Policy was reviewed. After much discussion the decision was made that at this time all policies and requirements will remain in place.
