Resolution
Therefore be it resolved that the SUMA request the Minister of Corrections and Public Safety to provide financial support for the study and set-up of Regional Fire Protection and Prevention Services.
Provincial Response
Response: Official of Protection Emergency Services, Corrections and Public Safety (CPS) have been tasked with this initiative and all indications from initial meetings with stakeholders are that this is a direction CPS supports. Planning details, and implementation strategies are being worked upon by department officials.
