Town of Grenfell seeks Maintenance Staff for Grenfell Recreation Park
The Town of Grenfell is seeking the services of an outgoing, friendly and self-motivated person for the position for the GRP facility caretaker and will assist the Public Works Maintenance staff.
- The days and hours of work would require some flexibility between winter and summer hours as the duties will change.
- Winter will be working in the GRP arena and working with Public Works as required.
- Summer would be the GRP, this includes but not limited to the campground, GRP building maintenance.
- Both seasons would require performing minor maintenance duties such as painting, carpentry and construction, opening and closing facilities and provides general customer service throughout course of the shift, inspecting and cleaning facilities after and between bookings, perform minor servicing and maintenance of facilities’ equipment such as pumps, motors, boiler, HVAC systems and other related equipment as directed by the Superintendent of Public Works.
Preference given to applicants trained in the Arena Facility Operator course, level of experience, qualifications, and references. Successful applicant will be required to submit a criminal record check.
The hourly salary range for this unionized position is based commensurate with experience based on the CBA. The start date would be November 15, 2020 or sooner based off availability. The Town offers a competitive benefit plan after a successful probationary period.
