Mayor Al Heron of Eston serves as SUMA's Director for the West Central Region.
Mayor Heron is retired from his career, in which he served as a recreation director for Eston and Weyburn. He has also worked with the Department of Culture, Youth and Recreation and the Saskatchewan, Western Canada and Canada Games.
In Eston, Mayor Heron serves the Eston-Kindersley Water Board, the Water West Co-op, the South Saskatchewan River Watershed and the West Section South Saskatchewan River Watershed.
Mayor Heron represents SUMA with the Saskatchewan Ethanol Association, the Saskatchewan Dutch Elm Disease Association and the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority Advisory.
