
Bruce was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba. He later moved to Brandon for High School and College. In 1979, Bruce made the decision to move back to the North.
Moving to Creighton and working for the Saskatchewan Government as an electrician until 1988. He then moved on to the Flin Flon School Division and presently employed as the Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor for the Division.
In 1994 Bruce was elected to Town Council where he sat for 9 years then elected as Mayor and is currently servicing his third term in that seat.
Bruce is married with one son, he enjoys golf, fishing, hunting and just enjoying the outdoors.
Besides work and Council, Bruce is presently serving on other numerous committees such as:
• Vice Chairman of New North
• Chairman of NNETC - North North East Transportation Committee
• Chairman of the CRDC -Creighton Regional Development Corporation
• Member of SIGI - Saskatchewan Infrastructure Growth Initiative
• Member of Northern Transportation Area Committee
