Town of Alameda seeks Assistant Town Foreman


The Town of Alameda invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Town Foreman.


This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Town Foreman.  The Assistant Foreman will train under the Foreman with the intention that the successful candidate will take over the position of Foreman in time.  A benefits package is provided with salary ranging from$ 52,000 to $62,400 depending on experience and qualifications.  Training and professional development will be provided.


Duties:


Provide support to the foreman in overall management of the town which would include transportation, landfill, assist with day-to-day operation, cleaning, maintenance and safety of all equipment and facilities.


Assist with operation of all water and sewer systems for the Town of Alameda including operation of the water treatment plant and sewer lift.  Read meters quarterly.  Complete daily water testing to ensure quality.


Work with the Foreman on any street maintenance, water and sewer maintenance and property development.


Qualifications:


A criminal record check, min. Grade 12 or GED, and driver’s license are required.  The ideal candidate will possess their Level 1 water and Level 1 wastewater certifications. experience running a grader, and management experience are beneficial.  The successful candidate must be self-motivated, work well with a team and independently.
